    1. April it is nice that you help your nanny. Also yeah people do not realize how they are and how rude they can be. I don’t like seeing people like that we don’t need that in life. It makes no sense everyone should just have respect.

  5. 1. What do you do to show respect? There are many things people can do to show respect. We all show respect by standing up for the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning. We show respect by not being rude to others and helping people with something they are having a problem with whether it is school related or not.

    2. Can you think of a time when you failed to do this? Maybe once or twice I haven’t been able to help a person but that doesn’t mean I don’t have respect for them.

    3. How might someone show a lack of respect for himself/herself? Someone may show a lack of respect towards themselves by being insecure or allowing others words affect them. Letting them go down to a level of addiction like smoking or drinking isn’t showing respect to yourself.

    4. Can you think of someone who stands out by consistently demonstrating

disrespectful behavior? What effect does this have on his/her life? My cousin has zero respect for anything or anyone. He doesn’t have respect for his toys or whoever is watching it whether it be his mom and dad or me. But then again he is only 5 so eventually I hope he learns. It doesn’t have an affect on him right now because he is so spoiled that he gets whatever he wants.

    5. Can you think of someone who stands out by consistently demonstrating

respectful behavior? What effect does this have on his/her life? Teachers usually show respect as much as possible. If it is even just listening to someone's opinion or helping them study so they can ace their test. Teachers in my opinion usually have the most respect not throughout all professions but in general as human beings. It affects their lives because if they were to not be respectful they could potentially lose their job.

    1. I totally agree. Listening and hearing people out is a big part of respect. Its important to take care of yourself and the people around you. Just like your cousin whom you say doesn't have respect for his belongings or his parents it is this thought of believing you are better then others and have the world in the palm of your hand

  6. Somethings I can do to show respect is to talk nicely to the people I respect. Also I can hold the door for people. An example of this is when i saw my teacher coming down the stairs and i held the door open for them. Another way I show respect it volunteering for the less fortunate. When i was little I would volunteer at my church and do the food drive. One time I forgot to be respectul was when me and my mother got into a fight I said somethings I didn't mean and it really hurt her feelings. One way someone could show show disrespect to themselves is talking bad about themselves or hurting their bodies. I can think of a lot of people who are disrespectful, personally i find those people very annoying and so do most people. The disrespectful people think everyone likes them but in reality no one does. Also this one person i'm thinking of a lot of teachers don't like them and if they have a job their bosses most likely don't like them either so that could affect their lives greatly just for being disrespectful. If your bosses don't like you you could get fired, and when you apply for a new job and they call your old boss they won't put in a good recommendation. If you don't get a good recommendation you probably won't get the job

    1. I agree with Anna's quote sometime you just need to show kindness. If you show that you care for someone that you care to be respectful. For example helping someone that look like they are struggling. Even smaller acks of respect could change someone's whole day.

  11. 1. What do you do to show respect? You treat other people the way you wish to be treated despite of others actions directed to you. You should she still be nice and polite. This means having pride in being a person therefore having respect for yourself and your actions. Even small things likes using manners or biting your tongue instead of lashing out. Also having respect for others opinions and not walking all over them even if they are completely outrageous.

    2. Can you think of a time when you failed to do this? I have failed at this at times because sometimes I hold grudges which are unhealthy by themselves making me treat them with a cold shoulder. There are times when I think of some people's opinions and think how completely ignorant their perspective is. I keep my mouth shut though because they are human are are allowed to have their opinion and I am no better than they are.

    3. How might someone show a lack of respect for himself/herself? Lack of respect for yourself is due to low self esteem. It is important to love yourself and love what you do. When you have a lack of respect your actions reflect. You do things that make you unhappy or that go against your morals

    4. Can you think of someone who stands out by consistently demonstrating

disrespectful behavior? What effect does this have on his/her life? Most people who intentionally act bad and act disrespectful with full knowledge of this gains attention. To help the ego of theirs from the lack of attention they may wanting somewhere else in their lives. Using gaining that negative bad reputation as this rebel or black sheep.

I too keep my mouth shut with these ignorant people i think that it makes life easier to live like that even though it is frustrating. i think you should love yourself and it is the ultimate sign of respect.
